System integration in Bulgaria had a strong 2025. According to Digitalk, the leading system integrators reported double-digit revenue growth, some of them even record results, after project business fell by about 4% in 2024.
What is driving the growth
- Public sector projects. A significant share of the growth comes from them.
- Preparing for the euro. Companies are adapting their accounting, sales and payment systems.
- The cloud and AI. Faster adoption of cloud solutions and artificial intelligence is adding more projects.
The growth comes with structural challenges tied to the overall digital maturity of the Bulgarian economy.
The euro and websites: what often gets missed
The switch to the euro is usually associated with accounting, but it affects websites too. Here are the checks we recommend for any website that shows prices or runs an online store:
- All prices on the website are in euros, with no leftover references to leva.
- Price tables, PDF files and banners are updated too, not just the products.
- The structured data for your products (schema) shows EUR as the currency.
- Payments, shipping calculators and invoices all work in euros.
- Order confirmation emails show the correct currency.
- It is clearly stated whether prices include VAT.
Looking abroad
The headline of the analysis also hints at interest in foreign markets. The details are behind the article's paywall, so we will not retell them. The general logic is familiar, though: once the local market matures, growth is sought abroad, and that requires a multilingual presence and clear references.
If your website needs a review of its prices, currency or multilingual structure, we can help as part of our website maintenance and development work. Related: IT outsourcing is entering a more mature phase.
